1. Scope and information you provide

This policy describes how S&J Plumbing handles information from sandjplumbingmi.com and related service inquiries. Our website is intended for adults requesting residential or commercial plumbing services. It does not cover S&J Excavation or independent third-party websites.

Our inquiry forms ask for your name, email address, phone number, project city and ZIP code, and a description of your plumbing problem. You may attach photos or files. We also receive information you choose to provide by phone, through website chat, when subscribing to updates or during service follow-up. Please share only what is relevant. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, Social Security numbers, medical information or other sensitive information through ordinary forms, chat or attachments.

2. Forms, chat, subscriptions and service records

GoDaddy provides our website forms and Conversations inbox. Form messages and attachments can be stored in Conversations and sent to our Gmail inbox, controlled by Shawn and accessible to Teri. Our website chat uses GoDaddy Conversations and Re:amaze technology to handle messages. Email subscriptions entered through the website are managed through GoDaddy's subscriber tools.

When scheduling service from website inquiries, Teri manually enters customer information into Housecall Pro, our customer and service-management system. We use relevant information to respond, assess availability, arrange and provide service, maintain business records, address questions or disputes and meet applicable legal obligations. We use contact information for communications about your inquiry or service.

3. Telephone assistance and recordings

We use Smith.ai, including an AI receptionist and human agents, to help answer calls, handle inquiries and assist with scheduling. Calls handled through this service are recorded and may be transcribed or summarized. Information from calls may be shared with our staff, sent to our business email or used in Housecall Pro to help manage the inquiry. The service can send a follow-up text when a call is not completed. This website policy does not replace any notice or consent required at the time of a call.

4. Marketing email and choices

S&J Plumbing sends promotional emails through Housecall Pro and offers a website email-subscription option. Use the Unsubscribe option in a marketing email to stop future marketing emails through that system, or call 586-758-6237 for help with your preferences. Marketing opt-outs are separate from communications needed to respond to your inquiry or manage requested service.

Our email provider records delivery and email-opening information to help measure campaign engagement. Service inquiries, email subscriptions and website cookie choices are separate. An inquiry or acceptance of Analytics cookies does not by itself provide permission for unrelated marketing texts.

5. Website providers, cookies and security tools

GoDaddy hosts this website and supplies platform measurement and performance tools. Website providers may process information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, access times and interaction or security information. Cookies and similar technologies support website functions, chat, measurement and third-party tools. GoDaddy's platform measurement is separate from our planned Google Analytics installation.

Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA for spam and abuse protection. Google processes technical and interaction information and can set a security cookie. See Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. 6. Planned Google Analytics

We plan to add Google Analytics to understand website use and improve the site. If introduced, it will process information about visits, page interactions and browser or device details using cookies and similar technologies. We will update this policy and provide the applicable cookie choices before activating that installation. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Browser settings let you manage or block cookies, which may affect website features. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. These controls do not erase information already collected. Hosting, chat, spam protection, TrustedSite and GoDaddy's platform measurement are separate from the planned Analytics installation. Cookie choices do not replace email-marketing choices.

7. Providers and disclosures

GoDaddy/Re:amaze, Google including Gmail and reCAPTCHA, Housecall Pro, Smith.ai and TrustedSite handle information for the functions described above. Their own privacy notices may also apply to their services. Provider processing is not necessarily limited to S&J's systems or to the United States. Authorized staff use relevant information to handle inquiries and business operations.

We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary and legally permitted to protect rights, safety or security or resolve disputes. Outside services linked from our website, including booking, financing and social-media services, have their own notices. Review them before submitting information; this policy does not replace them.

8. Retention and deletion requests

S&J Plumbing does not currently delete Housecall Pro customer records on a routine schedule. We keep inquiry and service records for business, service-history and applicable legal needs. There is no single fixed retention period covering every record and system.

Our Smith.ai settings specify that call recordings expire after 90 days. That does not establish the deletion date of emailed summaries, downloaded files or other copies. Records held by providers, email systems and backups may have different retention rules. Contact us about a particular record or to request deletion. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, ongoing service or unresolved matters; deletion may not remove every copy immediately.

9. Privacy requests

Teri may forward a request but does not independently authorize disclosure or deletion. Provide a way for us to contact you; do not send sensitive identification documents through an ordinary website message.

You may ask about information we hold, request access, correction or deletion, or ask to stop optional marketing. Rights and limits depend on applicable law. We may need proportionate information to verify identity before releasing or deleting records. We will explain applicable limitations when responding.

10. Security, children and updates

No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure. Avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary website messages. Contact us if information was shared in error or you have a privacy concern.

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so Shawn or Justyn can review it. We may update this policy as our practices or requirements change. The published effective date identifies the current version, and we will provide additional notice or request consent where required.
